During the Commander-In-Chief Forum, Donald Trump was asked about what he would do about sexual assault in the military. He replied by saying that “we have to come down very hard on this” and that sexual assault cases should be dealt with in courts within the military. Matt Lauer then brought up one of Donald’s tweets he made in 2013.
Donald’s response was to say that his tweet was “correct,” suggesting that men and women serving together is to blame for the high rates of sexual assault in the military. Matt Lauer asked if he believes the solution is to take women out of the military, to which he replies “No, not take them out but something has to happen.”
According to Donald Trump, clearly the problem is men and women serving together. It’s definitely not the fact that both men and women should be taught not to rape and have much more serious consequences if sexual assaults do occur.
