The Next and Final “Debate”

The topics for the third presidential debate have been released and are as follows “debt and entitlements, immigration, the economy, the Supreme Court, foreign hot spots and the candidates’ fitness to be president, according to an announcement made Wednesday by the Commission on Presidential Debates. Each of the six segments will last 15 minutes.”

I don’t expect the candidates to cover all of those topics, or even get to them all.  I strongly suspect they may get stuck on “the candidates’ fitness to be president” and talk about that for a lot longer than 15 minutes and try to slip it in during other topics as well.

I’m sure Donald Trump will bring up the e-mails (and Bill Clinton’s past even though he’s not the actual candidate…) and Hillary Clinton will bring up Trump’s derrogatory comments about women.

However, I hope that they both realize that maybe it would be best to stay on topic and talk about policy since the election is now so close.  Hillary Clinton may be able to just sit back and let Donald Trump basically dig himself into a hole again, but he may have learned his lesson from the first two debates… but honestly I don’t think it’s likely.  One can hope…

In the 3 days between now and the final debate, more scandals may surface and it wouldn’t be surprising honestly.  Something always seems to pop up and cause drama, just as if it was made up by someone who writes for SNL.  It will be interesting to see how it pans out.
