The Importance of Women in This Election

It’s been known for sometime that women are the most important voter group in this election but they’re really starting to show it.  Early voting has started in some places and according to this article on politico.com, “In three crucial battlegrounds — North Carolina, Florida and Georgia — women are casting early ballots in disproportionate numbers. And in North Carolina, a must-win state for Trump with detailed early voting data available, it’s clear that Democratic women have been particularly motivated to turn out or turn ballots in.”

Donald Trump has done very little to earn women’s votes.  He has done so much more to alienate them than bring them closer.

Just to sum it up, he has repeatedly insulted Alicia Machado, was recording saying things like “grab them by the pussy,” calling Hillary Clinton a “nasty woman,” has insulted them by calling them fat pigs, slobs, and dogs.  He has an insanely long list of sexist comments and even saying “If Ivanka wasn’t my daughter, maybe I’d be dating her!”

You can find a comprehensive list here on The Telegraph’s wbesite.  They made a list of sexist comments and it’s all conveniently in one place.  It’s quite long so pull up a chair and get comfortable.

As the next couple weeks progress, the way women will vote will become more apparent.  My prediction is that Clinton will get a much greater number of female votes than Trump.  But we’ll see.
